3M Paint Defender

Has anyone used 3M Paint Defender? I'm considering using it for a upcoming DE event. It looks promising.

Looks interesting, though I don't know how much protection it would provide at a track day. I used multiple layers of Paintshield 5720 and it did a great job. It peeled right off (just like this 3M product), too.

Go to Amazon for reviews. Seems to be a mixed bag?

I applied it on a 2 inch band of rear fender rims as well as lower most fender behind back wheels. I was noticing damage from fine gravel. I have xpel on front of car.
IMO it is a great DIY product that works as advertised.
Easy to get on too thick
My application in small areas turns opaque when washed but quickly drys clear.
Too early to tell how well its working but it has to help some especially on finer particles. It seems compliant. There has been no chipping or peeling.
Barely noticable on close inspection even knowing its there
If you don't want a wrap and have the time, I don't see a down side
