They are from Griot's. For some reason, I think they stopped making them.

Wow your build is amazing. Love the organization of the garage. I like the bareness of the rear without the lettering, but adding a '911 S' badge could be pretty nice, especially if the '911' is in satin grey and the 'S' in brembo brakes red...
Your build is very timeless and should be kept for a very long time. Especially being as rare as a 7MT X51. AWESOME combination. Simply perfect build.

Great looking car and garage. Most places won't let you have a drain in the floor of a garage. It is a fire hazard. At least that is what the told me when we built our home and garage near Jacksonville Fl. Love the mirrors.

Thanks! Be ready for more photos. I'm sure I'll be taking tons of pics.

I've been thinking about that as well as just the black PORSCHE option. I think I'm going to do a vanity plate, so I may leave it bare. So many choices...

I haven't gotten that far on the drains, but it makes sense. I'm also in love with the mirrors.

Beautiful car! Great job detailing it.... Love your garage as well. We are getting our garage floors painted next week. Hopefully our garage will look half as good as yours.

Some nice photos as well.

Congrats!

Clear turn signals are on back order, tint appoint is Tuesday, and I don't really like black stone guards. I think they take away the "clean" look I'm shooting to have.

I pre-traded my beloved Le Mans Blue E92 M3 in favor of ordering my life's pursuit. This wasn’t an easy decision. I made the transaction on September 1, 2013, so needless to say this was a rough five months not having either my M3 or 911. To my excitement, the car showed up on Thursday, Feb. 6th in the evening, so I picked up Friday at 10 A.M. I'm sure my 911 story is similar to many of you on the forum. I was born in suburban Pittsburgh and had ridiculously hard working but very young and uneducated parents. I spent most of my childhood living in a single-wide trailer. I remember them selling that "home" in 1993 for $9,000! Despite growing up on the poor side of middle class, my hardworking parents managed to help ensure I got quality education. While working my way through, I graduated from Villanova with a BSEE. I think the blue-collar roots are something that makes owning a 911 much more satisfying. I mention this because I get quite a bit of flack for the cars I've been fortunate enough to own. Most people don't know my story. If they do, I guess they just don’t understand it. I used to post photos on Facebook, so my out of town friends and family could see my passion. I've learned it’s better to not include others in my enthusiasm for cars as most people don't understand that driving something like a 911 has nothing to do with the "status." For me, it's my personal reward for what I feel like has been an odds defying pursuit for the car I had on my wall as a kid. Anyway, I thought I'd briefly tell my "911 story." Enough gushing, let’s talk about the car. The build is in my signature. After getting the car home, I spent about 12 hours on Friday and another 8 on Saturday detailing it. This worked out because it rained for three straight days. I instructed Porsche Orlando to absolutely not wash the car. There was quite a bit of iron on/in the paint. I Nanoskin Autoscrubbed after IronX. It was border-line needing a compounding. After testing an area I decided to do it. I used Menzerna FG400 with Meguiar's MF Cutting Pads and Rupes LHR21, new Rupes Duetto, and Griot’s 3” DA. I followed with softer foam pads and Menzerna SF4000. I finished with Sonax Polymer NetShield. Finally I took the wheels off, Opticoated them, and added 7mm/15mm RSS spacers. I ordered clear LED turn signal lights, but they haven't shown up yet. I took the badges off, but I think it looks a little plain. I'm not sure what I'm going to do there. I also ordered a Coverking Auto Armor car cover to keep it double safe in the garage. I don’t have any other mod plans other than tinting the window and hardwiring a radar detector. I think I’m finally going to ditch the Valentine 1 and get some Escort iteration. Now I have zero artist ability, but have really nice camera gear (my wife's a photographer but won't shoot my cars). I made the cardinal sin of photography and shot the car at noon, but I think you'll get the idea. Just be ready for me to photo ***** this thing on the forums.
I am an ex PDI guy and by the way your garage looks you are either a product vendor or you really love detailing. Thanks for listing your products I just got my Griots DA for Xmas and I was looking for some good cutting product and pads.

Griot's Polishes are really not very good. I like the matching of the Griot's bottles, and I really like the spray heads. Most of the bottles are filled with other products like Sonax Full Effect Wheel Cleaner or Adam's Detail Spray.

Currently for cutting/compound I've been using:

Menzerna Fast Gloss FG400
http://www.detailersdomain.com/Menze...art_p_823.html
Mequiar's MicroFiber Cutting Disc
http://www.detailersdomain.com/Megui...sc_p_1020.html

If I were you, I would make sure to take the handle off of your Griot's, and I would probably prefer to take the 6" backing plate off and replace it with a 5". I have separte 6", 5", and 3 DAs." Also, take a black marker and make a straight line on the backing plate, so you tell when your pad/backing plate is spinning. Spread with speed 4 and polish with speed 6 making 6 to 8 crosshatch passes, decreasing the pressure on the last few passes.

For Finishing/Jeweling Polish:
Menzerna Super Finish SF4000
http://www.detailersdomain.com/Menze...art_p_684.html

http://www.detailersdomain.com/Uber-...pad_p_225.html

You probably won't see much of a difference as FG400 finishes pretty nicely. I still do it for piece of mind. I usually cut down to about 4 passes with really light pressure on the last two. On my leased Audi, I never did a finishing polish. FG400 finished so nicely, I felt it was a waste of my time.

My Go-To Last Step has been:
http://www.detailersdomain.com/SONAX...ld-_p_814.html

This stuff is awesome. I usually prefer the look of a Carnuba wax, but this stuff is really, really good.

I usually spend about 20+ hours on the intial and then won't have to compound the car again. I just use SF4000 with a stiffer foam pad to touch-up about every 8 months.

I use a zillion other products for trim, interior, washing, etc. Feel free to hit me up. I've wasted tons of cash buying and trying. I might be able to save you some time.

Thanks for the tips I'm going to order all of the products listed. Last night I watched the demo on the sealant and that looks like done great stuff. Thanks for that, the polish and compounds are great too and I will ****** those up too. This is a pic of my A8 after hand waxing with Meguiars MF. Once again thanks for the tips. Don't forget to use "hot oil" mild acid cleaner on your white 911's. Be sure to use gloves and eye wear and rise after spraying and wiping off.
