ID badge destroying seats?

I've probably destroy 5 belt clip badge holders in the past year, anyone else have this problem? I don't know if it's the way I get into the car or what, but it's bizarre how I keep breaking them. Fortunately no damage to the leather.

Hard to say without knowing how and where you wear it.. Right side of your pants/Belt.. Probably banging it on the bolster as you get in or maybe the bottom of the steering wheel.. You may not notice any leather scuffing or damage.. yet..

I'm just sensitive to the issue myself as (not the badge holder) as to banging up the bolsters getting in. I've had several cars over the years where it started to gradually show signs of wear. Probably has to do with clothes as well. I imagine wearing jeans as I do probably is rougher than say dress pants.
