New member - 2013 911

Good afternoon,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Mike, just purchased a 2013 911 with 2500 miles, from a dealer in New Jersey. I'm waiting for delivery, hopefully sometime next week. This is my second Porsche, the first a 2009 Cayman S.
I'm located in Eden Prairie, MN. This place is finally starting to thaw out, just in time for my delivery!

I'm in NW PA and the weather report still shows snow this weekend and next week. I am sooo ready for temps in the 40's and above. It was 46 on Friday and sunny skies and the roads were pretty clear. I left for lunch early, dropped the top and hit some country roads for a good 90 minutes. It was fantastic! Cranked up the heated seats and stereo. And loved every minute of it. But it's been snowing all day today Hopefully you are getting better weather in MN.
Congrats on your new 991. She looks great in the pic! You will have a great summer!

Hi Mike.

I am Michael also. NJ is having a good weekend - in the 50's. And they are starting to fill in the pot holes - only two blown tires! I spend a good deal of time in Minneapolis area and it is a great place to have a p-car, in the summer, which occurs on a Wednesday this year if I am not mistaken! Seriously. It will be a great car except Dec.-Mar. Fall drives in your area or up near Superior will be beautiful.

Drive it in good health! And stay out of traffic - 169 can be a bear at rush hour!
Michael

Hi Mike. Enjoy the new ride. I'm sure you will love it! I previously had a Cayman before my 991 and can say you won't be disappointed! Is it a manual or PDK?

Hey Mike
Nice looking 991. Great color. I'm in Minneapolis so I hear you about the weather. Been a bear of a winter. I just bought a 2012 cab from a dealer in Colorado. They're going to add a few things and then I'll fly out at the end of the month to pick it up and drive it back. Good luck with the delivery! Watch those pot holes!

Alec

Welcome, Mike! Not sure what it is, but BEAUTIFUL color!!

I'm right down the road in Shorewood. I have a 2014 991s, GT Silver. Me and my 991 will find ourselves at Lion's Tap weekly once the snow melts!!

I took European Delivery, and received the car here in November, right before the big freeze. Getting very antsy to get back out there!

See you around!!
Kevin

Good morning

Good morning everyone, thanks for the warm welcome!
The car color is Mahogany Metallic. I had to see it in person to fall in love with it. The car has been sitting in Linden, NJ at the shipping carrier (DAS).
I'm hoping it will be on its way this week.
The Lion's Tap is right down the block from me, I am sure i'll bump into you sometime. thanks, Mike
