Differences between 2012 and 2014 991
It might have been discussed somewhere already, so I apologize in advance and please direct me to the thread if there is one, but are there any small/big changes between the 3.4L 991 when it came out in 2012 and if you were to order one now in 2014? Any software tweaks? Any changes to PDK or the steering? Or is it exactly the same car in 2014 that it was at its launch in 2012?
One certainly is the price!
I think that there are some changes in options - the computer interface has more features - I don't think I can get texts on my early '12. And there was a color change PtAg to rhodium silver. Anyone else?

Not too many changes.
* PCM software - support for online services and internal storage of MP3s was added
* Transmission - Manual transmission auto-rev matches when downshifting in Sport Plus mode (if you have SportChrono package)
That's about it. No changes to steering. (There was a parking brake software update for the hill-hold feature, but I had that applied during my last dealer visit so it is a non-issue).

-The PCM Internal Jukebox I do like (don't know if that was on the 2012's)..
-They tried to charge for the PCM "online services" as an option if I recall.. I think they started to gave it away because no one wants it.. (IMO, a ridiculously useless and cumbersome feature)..
- I'm not sure if the text reading was there.. I do actually like that. It's not a very good implementation especially with iPhone, but at least I can take a quick peek at a text on the display when it comes in without fumbling with the phone at a stoplight..
- I Think the LED headlight option came along after 2012?
- Backup cams now there..
- Seems like they have played with the option packages.. At one point if I recall you could get the internal LED lighting package separate from the Keyless ignition.
- Sport mirrors
