Ready to OBDII Flash Your Porsche 991 Carrera?
Unfortunately we cant have every car to show all numbers at once. Much like the video testimonial we have been doing with our VR Tuned flashes here, www.youtube.com/vividracing, we update info as we go. Again if you read above, raising the torque limiter is not something you have to physically have every car in hand. Just like some tuners, they put bhp numbers but dont have a dyno or dyno charts. It is mathematically done based on percentages. As far as the shifting times, the PDK is suppose to shift in some 0.010 seconds from Porsche. I will ask the engineers what they do or what info they can give me without giving things away. Again, I already did my 991 Turbo and it is noticeable - https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ng-anyone.html
I respect how it is to run a business especially introduction of a product, as I have my own as well..
However, from a marketing perspective you've set yourself up to look like you are blowing smoke.. and telling people who have basic product capability questions to come in the dark back ally (i.e. the PM) for more info about the goods.. Are my perceptions off base? no because I'm your potential customer and perception is reality. Same reason when I read any kind of advertisement that seems to be non-forthcoming and says "call for more info or pricing" I immediately skip..
Unfortunately your statement "Unfortunately we can't have every car to show all the numbers at once" undermines what appears to be a very ingenious method of delivering your product.
Makes me want to react by saying, "well then when you have the basics of what I need to evaluate your product come back because you are wasting my time." Without a basic set of performance capabilities you have nothing to talk about.

No gun jumped. Proven product from the manf we work with. I proved it on the 991TT. Just hard to get across things in a forum. For those that would like to discuss and understand more what the product does, how it works, and get elaboration on this thread, call me.
Forum members concerns are understandable, we are talking about flashing the ECU of a fairly expensive engine. People need to be reassured that the flash has already been tested on a 991/S, not only on a turbo or a 997, and that it has been checked on the road and dyno extensively enough etc. especially when the competition is already showing actual numbers. Flashing is for me a leap of faith and strong credibility is required.
Not bashing, just trying to help understand people's perspective.

... Conditional yes is worthless IMHO
That may be an appropriate comparison. Retail establishments such as Nordstroms generally sell vetted goods and either financially stand behind them or provide a manufacturer'a warranty. They are solid businesses with a track record of great customer service and high standards. You could do worse than to emulate their business plan As for your product, I will pass on attaching a dongle to the port to goose up my $100,000+ machine engineered by some of the finest automotive engineers ever assembled. But that's just my opinion. You all may feel free to try it on your cars and report back.
Nordstroms you are certainly not..
Rather the telling your potential customers why their questions are so unreasonable, perhaps you should consider closing this thread to salvage whatever shred of credibility you have left (and reengage when market ready).
Your brand should be sacred to you and peddling a "magic-box" to a tech savvy audience in this manner comes across as unsavory.
Your customers are speaking directly to you. It would certainly behoove you to listen to them..

It's kind of amusing to see him dig a deeper hole
I guess nobody has a sense of humor. Your talking yourselves into saying something is not developed or engineered based on wanting dyno numbers which on a NA car never show you the full picture.
There is a reason we own these cars too so we do our homework. Why would I put the same product on my 991 Turbo? Because I am confident in it. This plays out the same for anything. Once a few guys get it in there car and talk about it others will follow.
We did some really nice R&D on our 991 Carrera and Carrera S exhaust parts last year so I am actually surprised by the responses. Nevertheless you want numbers and data, we will give it to you.
Previous 991 development here - http://www.vividracing.com/blog/vividracing-client-cars/porsche-991-carrera-product-development-by-agency-power/ and more here http://www.vividracing.com/blog/?s=991+carrera&submit=
Like I said, if I am running this on my own 991TT why would I want to ruin that. Whomever would like to be those guys to be first and enjoy a faster, more driveable Carrera, contact me.

To Vivid's defense, there is a nice article in this months Excellence about the work they did on that blue GT3 RS giving it more power than a 997TT. They do know their stuff.
