Arrow Ownership Question

Greetings fellow forum members,

I come to you in peace and am humbled by the ownership of your beloved Porsche 911.

Around this time last year I acquired a 2014 BMW M6 121MSRP.

I paid 3000 drive-off 12,000m/year for three years leaving my monthly payments at $1650.30/ (54%)

I am leaving the country this June and won't return till the end of December, which leaves the car here for six months without a driver.

That's $9,900 in car payments that go to waste, assuming I don't use that mileage at some point later in ownership.

I was toying with the idea of putting the car up on lease trader, and upon my return acquiring a 991S with similar options,

or perhaps a GT3 assuming the lease payments will be around the amount that I am paying now, which I highly doubt.

Your opinion is greatly appreciated anything that can help me decide on this decision.

The largest decision being swapping from a 600WHP M6 (it's modded) to a stock (maybe I'll get a BBI exhaust system in the future) Carrera S.

Also - will the lease programs and residuals be around* the same as they are now. I hear the two year lease program is killer

You don't have much choice, other than to get out of the lease.
Start trying now, because that lease will be hard to sell off.

When you return, or even before you return, you should be able to score a good deal on a 14 GT3, as I imagine the buy-backs and canceled orders will be available for a discount.

It was a leftover and sitting on the lot for while, but a $131k msrp vehicle was discounted down to $123k, the lease quote in February 2014 was as follows: $2517/mo for 27 mos which includes 7.5k miles per year. Works out to a 58% residual. 36 mos was $2170/mo
