Phone Mount

I purchased the I-Magnet Cradle-less phone mount because I did not like cluttered look of other phone mounts.

Amazon.com: iMagnet Cradle-less Universal Phone Mount with Quick-snap Technology, One Hand Smartphone Car Windshield Dashboard Mount Holder for iPhone 4S/5, Galaxy S4/S3/S2, Blackberry Bold, Note 2, Android HTC One: Cell Phones & Accessories

My hope was to attach it to the side of the center console, however the neck was too short. I had to come up with a solution as I did not want the mount on the dash and it did not fit anywhere on the center console. So I decided to make use of the "useless" cup holders. I attached the mount to the top of a spray can cap and placed the whole unit in the cup holder. The mount holds the phone, it is out of the way but within sight and easily accessible. You can run a power cord from the glove box to the phone, and the glove box can be opened with no interference. True, the spray can cap is not elegant, but works for now until I find suitable replacement. Everything is easily removed when parking the car.
