Could be that the Limits were accidentally set to 139 in the TFT Screen/controls

Mine blew right past 139, no problems here (and I'm still in the break in period)

Those are "soft" alarms; I don't think the system actually stops acceleration past the designated speed.

Strange...I'd get it checked. I've only taken mine to 140mph and it was pretty quick - I had to restrain. The fastest I've done is 155mph on my 335i coupe..and it was near Round Rock TX

Yes Fester - this is where I tried - near Round Rock, TX on 130.

I will try again this weekend and will check yes to make sure there is not a setting turned on.

Again...seemed weird to me it would be so low....will let you all know...thanks for your insights.

Would love to tell my Dealer I could not catch up to the M3 - but my dealer you can't ever see for like 3 weeks out!!! They are so back logged!

No water bottles....lol...

Did you downshift and hit redline?
Perhaps you hit the revlimiter and needed to make a manal upshift.

Or

Was it a GT3? In which case it must have gone into Fire Protection mode.
