Unable to use Launch control :(

You should give us more information on your car, year, model, etc.
I have a 2014 C2S. PDK.
Make sure you are on a flat or a slight decline surface. The car will detect if it is on a slight incline and it will not work. Most of the time, people are not pressing the accelerator pedal fast enough. Floor it quickly.
There is an indicator on the Sport design wheel also at least on my 2013.
I had a friend drive mine...me as a passenger...he could not do it right...gave up after 3 or so tries...I think his big dam boots were getting in the way. We switched and it worked fine for me.
The Launch Control words Light up when it's ready for you to take your foot off the brake....obviously you've done everything right for it to Indicate Launch Control.

Geez, next you'll try to convince me that the car's transmission will shift itself.
You are pressing to slow the accelerator pedal. You have to be kind of very "agressive" or let's call it fast. If you go slow, it won't activate.
Else , you are doing everything good.
P.S: Are engine/tranny warmed up? I hope so. At least 3-4 minutes driving.

Better than timing it, you should use the oil temperature gauge to make sure that at least the engine is properly warmed up. I'd never consider doing a launch control (or any high RPM run) until I saw at least 200 degrees oil temp. Odds are that if the engine oil is that hot, the tranny is good and warm too.
^^^Not sure I understand what you mean, but just letting you know that you won't be able to do a launch control after a cold start. As I had mentioned, if the the engine and tranny are not at the ideal temperature, the launch control function won't activate.
got it. finally saw the launch screen on the instrument cluster
u have to floor the accelerator really fast, like u do for a kick down.
I also had the oil temp ~190, and at a slight incline.
thanks everyone.....

If you inadvertently put your foot on the gas before you press it quickly to the floor it will not engage launch control. The car needs to be at idle when starting the procedure so best to have your foot completely off the accelerator until hitting it. That may not be your issue, but might as well try.
