991 Targa 4S
I'm going to guess it cost you about $20,000 to do what you just did. You had the Targa 4S for just 7 days?
If the Targa cost $116,000 (I'm sure you got a discount but I'll estimate with MSRP prices) then you paid about $6,000 in taxes and fees in FL.
Let's assume the car depreciates minimum $5,000 in that time so your trade back is about $111,000.
Then you pay another $9,000 in taxes and fees when you pick up the $150,000 TT.
Again I'm sure you got a discount and all that. But still that adds up to about $20K.
$20K divided by 7 days is $2,800 a day.
Let's assume you got insane discounts and favours from your dealer, I bet you're still paying $2,000 a day for the 7 days you had the Targa 4S.
I guess some people have that kind of money to burn. No judgement, just observation.

Blue turbo looks great! Never would have purchased any model and expect it to be as fast as a turbo
Targa is tenths off the coupe and the only thing I noticed was at low rev it can be hesitant , not slow in standard setting but with sport or sport plus it's like any other 991.....that's not a turbo!!!
Enjoy your beautiful new blue turbo. Color would look great on a targa....scratch that!

I really like the blue turbo; but I also liked the targa - until it got tinted. For me it was just to dark; here in CA the cops would get you sooner or later for that. I never want to give "them" a reason to stop me. Life is fleeting, you should get what you want and enjoy.
Agree! I think most would like to be in the financial position to enact this thought. Love the turbo!!

Of course you're making a judgement. People keep observations to themselves and don't take a bunch of time adding up what someone might have/have not paid for a car.
If you care so much about income inequality, go to a Toyota Prius forum or join Occupy Wall Street. I'm sure most people on here say drive what makes you happy!

If the guy didn't like the car, who cares?? What he supposed to do live with it for 6 months, a year? What's the minimum amount of time allowed to own a car? People burn more than $2,800 a day at a casino. I'd rather have fun driving a Targa doing it!

Let it go, Hawc was just crunching numbers.
I know I'm jealous of OP to be able to switch cars like that
If that's all it was, so be it. I was just making an observation..... By the way, you don't pay taxes on the value of the trade in on another vehicle.

In some states you do (e.g. VA)
I just wasn't happy when i put my foot down in the targa. I wasn't expecting it to be a turbo nor did I ever think I wouldn't be happy driving a 400HP car.
Driving my CLS63 with 590 ft lbs of torque is just insane. no matter what gear you were in all you had to do was breathe on the gas and you were gone. I was craving that feeling in the targa.
I ended up getting rid of my cls63 along with the targa for the turbo. a decent 2 for 1 swap in my book.
this turbo is a beast and every time i step on the gas in the turbo i SMILE!. the extra 17k/18k its going to cost me over the 30 months is well worth it to me. My plan would be to swap this turbo for the targa if/when it arrives in a couple years.

Here is my only question. You have managed to buy or lease 2 hard to get cars and the blue is a PTS?!
Are you a Porsche franchise owner or just a really great customer? I suspect the later given your quick turn around.
