Haters
That happens a bit when I am in the Range Rover. It's also usually the trucks with jacked up suspension and big tyres that have to prove themselves or something. This sort of behaviour happens mainly on on ramps that funnel 2 lanes into one before merging onto a highway. Every time a guy in his jacked up truck tries to cut ahead in these situations, they end up choking on my dust as the supercharged Range Rover has a 5L supercharged V8 throwing out 510HP and a zero to 60 times in the low 5s mark. Never had any negative responses til yesterday. I learnt a long time ago that if someone has an issue with what i have or how I live my life, it's their problem, not mine. Axxholes like that guy will always be miserable c$&?5ts, no matter what, so best to ignore them.
Similar Situations
I drive a 991 C2S Cabriolet and I have experienced many things like that, and some even worse. I've had people flat out scream out there window; not words but just a bloody murder scream. I've had people flip me off and come zooming past me going easily triple digits. It's annoying nowadays with the people you have to deal with when driving a sports car.. I'm glad someone else understands these awful experiences...
As you can imagine, it doesn't just happen to Porsches. I had a trucker in a 18 wheeler block me from passing him by repeatedly swerving into the left lane where I was and try to force me against the guard rail. When I finally got around him, he started madly honking his horn and giving me the finger.

No haters yet. The only reaction my car gets is from children and middle aged men.
And on that note, my 8 year old niece announced that while my Porsche was "nice" she preferred Ferraris... No rides for her.

OK my American friends, the following below illustrates the fundamental difference in attitude that differentiates MOST Americans from the rest of the world:
In America, when a regular working Joe walks past a mansion, he thinks to himself, "one day, if I work my butt off and make it, I can live in a place like this!"
In Australia, New Zealand and many other parts of the world where Tall Poppy Syndrome is so widespread that they have a name for it, when a regular working Joe walks past a mansion, he thinks to himself, "who did this axxhole cheat for his money and the next time I see his car, I am going to key it."
That, my friends, is why America is viewed by so many as the land of opportunity and why the best and brightest in the world want to live here.

The truth is what it is. How you digest it is your choice.
I'm disgusted with the turn this thread has taken and offended by a lot of the political comments being made. I hope the mods shut it down or move it to the proper venue where fools can express their stupid opinions (as if anyone actually wants to listen to them).
If there is a logical counter argument you'd like to share, please do so.
Claims of being offended and disgusted really don't explain your stance on anything. This is on top of being disturbed and disrespected. How have we become such a sensitive society?

Text book response. Now the race baiting starts. What next, war on women? So very predictable. I know you better than you know yourself.
I don't miss the elementary school yard antics. I always wanted to turn 16 and get my license!
At $74.00 a pound, I wouldn't mind owning a lot of cotton fields! I'd be on the Turbo forum instead!

You know it all my friend, unfortunately it's only what you want to see and believe, nothing based on fact...maybe CNN in your case.
As a non-American that splits his time between the US and various other countries, this fundamental difference in attitude is very glaring to me and may not be so to many others who reside in their own countries without the benefit of being able to objectively make such observations.
It was factual in that he read my analogy, which you took great offence to, as an illustration of how the Tall Poppy Syndrome works in a day to day situation and why the US stands out from many other countries because of this fundamental difference in beliefs.
