Clear Bra Question
I've been quoted $1300 for hood and bumper and $2000 for entire front including front quarter panels. This guy is known to be the best in town and has a great reputation for doing high end cars.
The prices are steep and I'm thinking of doing just the bumper and hood at this time and want to know how prone to rock chip damage the front fenders are. I don't do much interstate driving.

FWIW my entire front end in custom "over the edge" wrap in Xpel Ultimate was 2K. The best investment on any car that you care about the paint. It's smart to do the entire front and mirrors as I have had experience with chips attacking high up on a hood near the cowl.

A precut is a simpler install, and usually cheaper as the installer doesn't have to dismantle as much of the front end. But with the precuts the lines are often visible. From a protection standpoint they are fine.
A custom wrap generally you don't see the lines as they remove a lot of the front end bumper, lamps etc.. So you don't see the lines.. in general they are much less visible..
The pre-cuts are fine, don't get me wrong, but understand what you want and what you are willing to pay for. For a custom wrap, the prices are a bit more.. in my area the guys who do the high end jobs are probably about twice what a quick and dirty precut that the dealers outsource..
That said, whoever you go with.. get some live referrals and talk to folks who used an installed (not the shill posts you see). I believe they tend to talk about this a bit in the detailing forums...

The other thing is you need to keep your expectations in line. No wrap no matter how perfect will look as good as the unprotected (that is until you get it chipped up that is which is really the point).. A good job will look very nice.. but you can still tell it's there and of course there are differences in how things look with different colors..
That said.. Good luck..
Your quote sounds fair.
I always do the entire front end and mirrors… I also started doing a small strip right behind the tires on the front edge of the wheel wells….maybe 10 inches from the bottom.

I paid about $2k to do the whole front clip on my cayenne, he also tinted my front windows included in the price. but I made him throw that in as I take every new car I buy to him. every new car I get, I put the blue painters tape on the front end at the dealer and drive it straight to my clear bra installer.
I saw a few older posts that said about $1000, but I guess that's for the pre cut. So the asking price seems fair
