From 911 to Cayman S back to 911 again.

I had a 997.2 then decided to give the mid engine 981 a try and picked up a Cayman S manual with all the goodies. The car was fun but not what I wanted. So last weekend I snagged another 911 and got a killer deal on a 14 C2S.

The 997.2

The 991 is a PDK. Honestly the PDK is really tough to beat. The manual was an option I thought I wanted...then I drove the 991 with PDK and was sold. My 997's PDK wasn't anything like the new one.

Congrats!! Yep, there's nothing like a 911. I've tried other model Porsches twice as well as late model Vettes and come back. It's funny how the numbers don't always tell the full story.

All of your cars look stunning. I drive a 7MT, but I do have to say the PDK is so smooth and lets you get "more" out of the car.

How do you like the 991 vs the 997. Was the Cayman really that much difference that made you want to go back to a 911 body?

Same here. I fully intended to buy the 7MT until I drove it back-to-back-to-back with the PDK and just shook my head and said, the PDK suits the car so much more.

So... why did you go from 981 to 991 specifically?

Congrats! Nice history of cars.

I was considering the Cayman before buying my 991. For me personally, I felt like it would have been a compromise to what I've always wanted and knew I'd have.

I figured, go for the prize and don't screw around!
