Good for you.

1. Got ceramic brakes
2. Got your beloved e92 m3 color
3. Got a better car

I applaud your wife coping up with it

Good luck with Gt3!

Quote: Didn't you give me a whole lecture how the GT3 was too extreme for you and that is why you got the x51 power kit? Regardless though beautiful car. Maybe I'll order the cayman GTS is saphire blue now because those pictures look great.
Pull that tape! I would never lecture on an internet forum.

Wow! That's one way to deal with a problem car: dump it for a better model!

I love the color and the car. Use it in the best of health!

Money really nice car I love the color. I had a chance to drive in a new 991 GT3 and man it revs fast and sounds great. I love the aero kit on the 991 GT3 as well. Well done.

Question for you though if you were having such issues with the C2S why would you go to a GT3? The GT3 has already been known to have issues with the engine fires. The stumble you are suggesting may be in the GT3 as well in time as it has a derivative of the 3.8 in the C2S, not the Metzger.

Wow! Stunning car. When I saw your new M3 and 991 X51 I thought to myself what a duo of cars. I now stand corrected. Look forward to reading your new GT3 journal.

Fingers are crossed my friend...fingers are crossed.

Nice GT3 Money.

I got to get out of the SF Bay Area. Even though I have owned my home in Palo Alto since 1990 and have a few rental properties in the Bay Area I need to move to a low cost housing market like Money2536 so I can buy a few cars at will and free up millions in real estate dollars. The problem is if i told my wife we were moving to FL I would be divorced and half my money would stay here with my then ex-wife. First world problems. I know.

Quote: All, it's been quite a ride this past year with my 911 C2S.
Matt, a few thoughts:

- I'm happy for you and the new car is gorgeous.

- I forgot who made the suggestion, but the background is very important when photographing. The idea of a beach is a good one - any place where you can minimize reflections and have complimentary or contrasting colors in the background. My two cents.

- Kudos to you and your ***** for putting it all out there and sharing the financial costs of this transaction. I've BTDT with a few cars and it really hurts to take that kind of loss, but afterwards you realize that it's just money and your mental health is worth more than that. It does comfort me to know that I'm not the only one who does these kind of things. So, thanks for that.

Maybe you should have bought the 918 Spyder instead! : )

Look at the free perks it comes with!

"A trained product specialist will fly to your location and spend as much time as needed for you to learn the operation of all aspects of this fabulous machine. Take advantage of the Porsche VIP program for those ordering a 918. This includes special travel opportunities organized by Porsche which would be next to impossible to coordinate on your own. Also included is the opportunity to have first option on any car Porsche introduces for up to ten years. Do you want a GT3 or GT3 RS or any other of the very limited iterations of the 911 which may come down the road? As a 918 owner or depositor you will have first option to request these cars, even before any dealer allocation occurs."

Money, you are definitely living up to your name. Haha. Congrats and keep us updated on your gt3. I was planning on getting one as well but Im trying to hold out for a stick on the rs if its not too much over my price range. There was a gray gt3 I saw online at herb chambers in Boston but it sold within a few weeks. It was about 136k with only 2xxx miles as I remember. It had a front axle lift option too. How does the gt3 compare to your c2s? Do you miss the manual?

I need to change my screen name to Broke2536. This GT3 move wasn't part of the plan.

I'm still working on my opinion of the differences. I've only done about 300 miles, so I'll keep you posted on my thoughts. The PDK-S is very manual like. This thing revs so fast that a manual wouldn't work well. Plus, I still have the M3 manual to play with.

Cool, sounds good. I need to test drive one to see how the engine is really like.
