My car is over 2 years old and still has a burning electronics smell in the frunk. It's not excessive, and sort of smells like new electronics getting burned in. I thought this was because voltage was fairly high at 14.5. But now I see hawc hit 15. Do any other of you have this stink?

Chuck....I'm at nearly 2 years/15K miles & my garage always has a lingering "hot"
odor from my 991 after a drive - lasts at least a day or more & it's in own separate garage.

My other cars don't seem to do this.

Have not specifically noticed the frunk smell.

I also have it, but it is present in and out of the car. I don't use my trunk so I don't know if it's stronger there. Hot engine, exhaust & brakes seem to trigger it.

I never smell anything inside the car (with windows up). Just the smell from exhaust/ engine when I am outside. Brakes are usually not burning hot when I shut the car off. No smell from that.

No real smell from frunk either, but I rarely use it.

Today it actually hit 15.2V but I photographed it for you at 15.1V

It was the first cold day of the year with my new 991.

I won't either. I also should mention that I don't detect any burning odors from the frunk or inside the vehicle. However, there is definitely a pungent organic smell that fills the garage when I return from a drive.

Just had 15.3V right now. It's 1c. I wonder if it goes higher the colder it gets to make sure the battery stays topped up. Sorry no picture.

Yep, Tina it must be a function of the higher operating temperature.

What's the ambient temperature?

seems to me that the lower the temps, the higher the voltage reading.

42 degrees had the seat and steering wheel warmers on and the reading was as high as 15.2 Again - this is not indicative of an electrical problem
