Exotic Cars in Miami?
Hey guys:
Thought I would start here. One of my friends from College (The Citadel) is getting married in Miami and I would like to get him a bachelor gift of a 72 hour exotic car rental. Nothing too over the top. I want him to have some serious fun. He is an Army officer and he loves cars, but unless the Army starts to pay a bit more his dreams of getting into a prancing pony are a bit slim. I thought this would be a great gift idea so I am gauging where to start. Any sort of help would be great from the locals. Again i am not looking to break the bank here. I contacted Gotham, Hertz and Enterprise. If they are the cheapest i may have to think of something else. |
There are tons in Miami and FT Lauderdale, but renter beware.
The problem is that there are numerous scams involved where they will find the most obscure of scratches and charge your card a small fortune. I would stick with a reputable company and remember that you are VERY limited of your daily mileage allowance. No matter how you slice it, it's silly money for what it is. Personally I would give him the money instead to go towards his dream car. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q...rental%20miami |
I was an Army officer and the car above was my first car after finishing officer candidate school at 21 years old.:) I was introduced to Porsche by my HS art teacher so I was under the misimpression that if he could afford one, I could. Yes, get him a 911 and let him get a taste of life!

Call Prestige Luxury Rentals. They've got a pretty wide range of cars and they're all new and in great shape. Decent rates (relatively speaking) and great people to deal with too.

Thanks for the responses guys. I may just fill up an envelope and truly help a newly married couple.
Although this would have been a great gift. |
If he is getting married in Miami, then rent the car in Miami. As mentioned mileage charges do add up. This place has various options and John the owner has been sponsoring car events in South Florida for years. http://loulavie.com/

Well gents
I decided to take a conservative route in getting my friend and brother a gift for his big weekend. I rented a red corvette stingray from Avis. $600 out the door for three days...not too shabby. I think he will be happy. Waiting on him to pick up the ride from me. Will post pics soon. I know... Not a Porsche but I gotta tell u. Our rides are expensive inMiami! |
