Found a 918
It's interesting porsche uses a 2x2 weave for the carbon fiber in this car (which looks far better) and a 1x1 weave for the interior on all their other cars. Even weirder that the GT3 has a combination of both used on it.
Really????? +1 +1000000 It wouldn't actually. Starting a car won't kill you and neither would someone driving it down the street or not. If a 1 million dollar car is that fragile, well there are bigger issues. I honestly wouldn't care if someone drove my million dollar car as long as they don't scratch it.
Hell even rubbing their naked a$$ all over it, would still be better.
I'll look out for the huge TechArt wing in the back.

I think the Carrera GT was better looking than the 918. But, then again, I don't think the red color is doing it any favors.
Thanks for the pictures, OP.
And FWIW, I've always felt that very short start/stop events were bad for the engine. I have no scientific evidence to prove this. I'm thinking that because the fuel mixture is very rich when cold, plus condensation issues, cold oil are all bad. That's why I push my car out of the garage when washing it.

LOL you guys are funny. Please let us know where you live, I'm sure a lot of people would love to come by one day and rev your car, drive it around the block. Do you go to Cars & Coffee and just get in people's car and rev it without their permission?
A key to a $1,000,000 car in the hands of a goofy salesman? The GM of the dealership should have it.
Starting up the 918 INDOORS and revving it up?
If this goof is doing this for one window shopper, imagine who else has sat in it, started it, and did whatever else in it!
My car would NOT be sitting there. Any CAR if it's 100K or $1,000,000
I don't even trust the stealerships to wash my car!

When a purchased my 991 C2S, it was sitting on the floor. After I put a deposit on it, the salesman voluntarily locked it and wouldn't let people open it up and sit in it. Good call on his part!
They even kept it there until I picked it up.

The first half of your comment was good. Yes if you want to come sit in my car and rev it, while I am watching you, sure go ahead. If you want to take it around the block while I'm sitting in it to make sure you don't do dumb sh**, sure go ahead.
The 2nd half of your comment was just illogical. Nowhere in any of this thread is anyone saying for people to just randomly jump in a car and do stuff to it without supervision.
At least I'm not alone!

Now the washing the car..........yes this part I agree with you. Every dealer screws up the paint with swirls. Maybe you guys just have bad relationships with your dealer. I usually interact with smaller dealers when I buy cars. I prefer it that way. I get better deals and better service. Plus they know what not to do and what to do when it comes to my cars.
I doubt they would have started the car for anyone other than an actual customer, which, it sounds like the OP is.
If I had my million dollar car in the showroom, I wouldn't care if a fellow Porsche owner sat in it/started it up. However, a random person, absolutely not. Got to be in the club IMO.
