Climate control settings

Under vehicle settings for climate control, there is a setting for extended ventilation fields or something similar. Does anyone know what this setting is supposed to do? With my heater on in cold temperatures, I keep getting a blast of freezing air when I start the car in the morning. Trying to see if that setting has anything to do with it. Don't really notice any difference though. Starting to wonder if I have a changeover valve issue too.

I believe you are referring to the dash top vents as well as the strength of the air flow.

Yes. I just don't get what the vent setting changes. Don't notice a difference when I enable it.

It works with the air conditioner. Just wait until summer

Very noticeable difference with me. The setting for the top vents really opens or shuts the top vents. Plus the settings for the strength of the airflow also really make a difference !

My strength setting works fine. Which vents blow more with that setting activated? The ones near the windshield?
