Cooling System Fault

Today I been driving thru holiday traffic in L.A. and this notice showed up. My dealer says It's normal and very common on all, just turn the car off and turn on again. Anyone has this issue before?

Have you noticed any change in exhaust drone / sound? I had that very same warning come up twice before and both times root cause was an exhaust vacuum line disconnected which left 'loud' mode on. That warning is common to change over valve failures. Do a search and you'll find lots of previous posts.
Let us know what you discover.

I just installed the aftermarket exhaust and yes the vacuum line is disconnected so it might be from that.

I just placed the order PSE so lets see if this error still there after PSE installed. Thank you for your help plenum.

Glad to help.... One point I made previously which I now realize was a bit hasty (was at the bar trying to respond by phone!) is that the issue is common to COV failures --- That is not the case, and what I meant to say was that the warning you are receiving is specific to the vacuum line being disonnected from the exhaust valve and NOT properly terminated (plugged). If you get a chance to look under the rear of the car you should be able to see the disconnected line and simply put a rubber cap on it. Once the line is terminated, the warning message should go away. I don't believe there are any resets or anything else necessary (but may stay in logs).

Did the aftermarket exhaust you installed have valves? Or no? If it has valves just connect the lines to it anyways. You won't have the manual switch in the console but the lines should still operate valves based on engine load. Just a thought. But then again, I've now LEFT the bar!
