"As a daily driver, does it lose it's specialness?"

Maybe I'm the only person who says YES.

I just replaced my daily driven 2014 991 S (7MT) with an Audi Q5 with a lot of low-end torque.

The 991 is an awesome sports car. It really needs to be driven hard on a racetrack or an empty country road to shine.

Daily driving the 991 on the street with traffic was slightly boring and somewhat uncomfortable for me.

I have enjoyed ever single daily driver I had, from the boy racer look of the STI to the more mature BMW 335, The awesome power of the Z06 and now the refinement of the 991c4s. Love them all for different reasons.

Its America, and its your money, and nobody gave it to you. You can buy whatever you want with it. And you can never please everyone.

Enjoy the 911!
+1. Daily drove a C2S for 4 years and for the past year DD a 458 Spider. Secure, covered physicians only parking is prolly the safest place to park outside of my garage. Have only received positive compliments from other physicians and no drop in referrals. It helps to have patient parking on other floors. The way I looked at it, I might as well enjoy my sports cars before I got married and have children and when I am agile enough to still negotiate ingress and egress These cars are expensive as hell, may as well get use out of them.

I don't think the 911 would lose its specialness as a DD, but the route you take and traffic you have to deal with can lose its specialness very quickly.

If you commute daily to the same place, there are only so many different routes you can take.

I've been driving them 47 years and I'm not tired of it yet. Give it a couple more years

A torque monster like my E63 is IMO a much better DD.
The 991 is my weekend fun car.
