I searched and found some threads for 996 seats but I'm hoping someone has information on how to remove the 991 Sport/18 way seat backs. I want to have mine painted gloss black.

Uh oh, almost 100 views and no help. I guess when I think about it, yanking the seat backs isn't something many people do. Maybe someone that works at/for a dealership can plagiarize some of the top secret service manual? Tom@Champion, are you out there? Maybe since DB Carbon sells seatbacks they can help? I have the 18 way adaptives if it helps...

While it is a bit off the mark, see the following for reference to the fact that the 991 seat backs are in fact removable... CF Wrapped Seat Backs. Example is where someone had a vendor remove the seat backs to not paint but wrap in CF look vinyl + paint the air bag plastic bits. So it is doable.

I'll also check my reference book for a diagram of the seat assembly which may provide some clue. Maybe post something for you later if someone else doesn't beat me to it!
