I was quite surprised at the Ford/Motorcraft post/advertisement, it kinda drew me in with the clever wording of the "change at 100k" reference. But to be totally honest I love Motorcraft division as they sponsored my race car back in the 80's on the national circuit, and as I worked as a tech for Ford Dealer for 2 decades as a drivability tech (tune-up tech) I have replaced enuff Motorcraft spark plugs to fill a living room ! So I do have a soft spot in my heart for Motorcraft division..it was like an old friend came to visit. I am now with Porsche dealer, its been 2 decades since I used Motorcraft spark plugs since Porsche uses Beru and Bosch but if Motorcraft had a compatible quad electrode replacement I would not have a problem putting it in my Porsche .That said it did seem a little out of place, Probably just as my post may be a little out of place , just felt compelled to give my heart felt thought and opinion.

 

I am logged in and I see 2 Ford threads in the 991 forum. Definitely something you should look into. Maybe the forum is being hacked?

 

I know when I kicked this thread upstairs they expressed some surprise so let's hope they get it sorted out

Maybe I can get Joseph (aka Jose) from IB to give some advice...I'm using an iPad and when I open the site in Safari I'm automatically logged in and I don't see any of those ads...

 

I still see the sponsored ad posts. And with the top and bottom banners, and the whole sidebar with banners - it's getting overwhelming.

 

I have the free AdBlock extension for Safari web browser. I cleared all side banner and top banner ads in less than 60 seconds. No ads on my page. Try that for your specific browser.

 

I'm logged in and I'm seeing them as well.

 

thought i'd check back after a week of this crap, but GT3 Chuck hasn't had any luck getting Ford or sonnen motors,etc to stop the 991 forum spam. delete the mobile app and computer bookmark next

Hmmm... I only see those kind of advert posts if I am not logged in. Once logged in, they are gone. Strange.

 

According to IB they should only be there if not logged in but I am seeing them when logged in and they should not be there...your addition to Safari must be working for you

 

It's weird that some of us see them while logged in and some don't. Is there some seniority at play here? Like super-users get a pass on ads but newer users still see them?
