911 turbo vs 50th anniversary

I love the looks, style and exhaust sound of the 50th anniversary 911 and have found a couple on the use market with very few miles. My daily driver is a Panamera Turbo S , I am looking for something that is even more 'fun'. Am I going to be so satisfied with the normally aspirated 911 or should I get a 911 turbo?

Drive them both and you decide. This is what I would do as it would be my money. But the turbo is pretty amazing.

Yes, drive both. 50th Anniversary edition is a classic, but so is the 991 GTS IMO. 991 Turbo and Turbo S are in another dimension altogether from the 991 C2 with the power kit. Not sure what the price delta is between the 50th and a 991 Turbo, but if it is relatively small the Turbo would be my choice. Cannot go wrong with either.

Boom!! Right on the money. Can't go wrong. I currently drive a 2013 C4S with lease expiration of 6/2015 and while the car is PLENTY fast for the NNJ/NYC area, I find myself looking at turbos. I had a 997 TT and to be honest, I didn't love that car. Noisy, nervous steering, etc. but the 991 platform is simply amazing. Do I need a 991 TT, no. Do I want a 991 TT/S, hell yes!

carcam is infamous around these parts
I went from a 997 GTS with power kit to 991S to a 991 turbo. They are all different and each has pluses and minuses. I miss the sound of the sport exhaust on the 991's but love the torque in the turbo. The 991 GTS and S are plenty fast enough if you wind them up but the incredible torque at the low end in the turbo is addicting! Just around town, between lights, on ramps, step on it anywhere and the torque shoves you back in the seat like you won't believe.

Like others have said - test drive is necessary!

The power and torque of the Turbo is unmatched - but you may have more fun wringing out the NA motor in the C2s/GTS.

I'm almost leaning you towards the NA option since you already have a Panny Turbo - to give you that flat 6 NA soundtrack.

Either way - no bad choices in this lot!!

If you are looking for more fun than your panny, then either will do it. As already said, test drive, look at your wallet and decide which way you want to go and then enjoy.
