Exclamation Reduced Engine Performance Possible To Drive On

Just got this weird message. Anyone else ever have this before?

(It looks orange but it was definitely RED not YELLOW) Which surprised me because I was always taught RED warning messages/lights always means stop right away, but it was saying possible to keep driving.

I was driving on a slight uphill in PDK manual mode in sport. Not driving quickly at all. Felt the car 'chug' a little, just a slight hesitation and this message came on.

Then another message came up about 5 minutes later that said Start/Stop function disabled (happened while I was driving.)

Then the car chugged a bit more so I pulled over. Restarted the car and the messages were gone and nothing else the rest of the way home.

Two possible contributing factors. We had crazy hard downpour of rain all today the car was sitting out in. And I had just filled it up with Supreme Gas, but I definitely turned the fuel cap tight when I put it back on.

Guesses?

Had this happen after getting bad gas... It went away as soon as I refilled..

I suspected the station had the wrong grade in their premium/91 tanks...

Got it fixed. It was the high pressure fuel pump. Replaced under warranty.

scarneva is infamous around these parts
Had that happen (along with the random 'chug') and it turned out that the crank angle sensor needed to be replaced.
