Wheel & Tire Insurance
Check your contract, but my guess is no. My contract states that there has to be a minimum of x/32" of tread left for it to be covered. It is not an unreasonable requirement, and I think it is the minimum you should have for safe operation anyways. Without getting my copy out, I think it is 3/32" of tread, maybe 4/32". Yours, if you have a requirement, will be in the contract language.
if they don't cover replacement tires, then why would you ever get a 5 year plan? No way rear performance tires are going to last more than 15000 miles. They replaced all tires on the 2012 I just bought CPO and it only had 9800 miles on it. I would hope that if you replaced the tires through the dealership they would be covered. They would probably be twice as expensive as elsewhere though.

I had nail or screw punctures in the right and left rear tire within two weeks of each other, with about 10K on the odometer. I got two new tires installed per my plan. If the tires had been badly worn down and needed replaced anyways, then they would not have been covered. Tires are not covered if they have already been consumed to the point of needing replacement through normal use when they get punctured.
I am in the Atlanta area like you, and the cost of each free replacement tire on my Turbo S from the P Dealer would have been about $550 each. Not sure how that compares to a tire shop installing an identical P-Zero, but that is just FYI.

A tire patch is cheap.......replacing an entire tire with a new one is not at $550 per tire. Wheel repair is not cheap at $150+ per wheel. Wheel replacement is expensive. A replacement center lock wheel for my Turbo is like what, $1500 a wheel?
Two different things, really.

I have purchased 3 of these policies over time. Made claims for tires and rims but never broke even. They fix the rims but bust your chops every time. FYI, in most states you are allowed a prorated refund if you cancel. Others owners experience may have been better than mine. but as someone said they make money on these policies.

Depends on where you live.....I'm in Long Island and am on my 4th car since moving here...my first, a Buick LaCrosse...4 tires and rim repair, no insurance. Second car, Maserati, 2 tires, no insurance. 3 rd car, supercharged Jag (still have) XJ...bought insurance, in 2 years on 20" rims....5 tires, 2 rim repairs...so when I bought my C2S, they didn't offer but I asked and bought...
Lived in Dallas almost 10 years, not one tire
Long Island for 5 years, 11 tires and 3 rim repairs...

I live in the NYC area & I have always had W&T until my current car. My user experience was a follows:
BMW#1 3 yrs - no wheels, no tires
BMW#2 3 yrs - no wheels, one tire (slashed over a parking space dispute and was not covered under the policy)
911 #1 2 years - no wheels, one tire replaced
911 #2 2 months - No wheels, no tires.
So, after eight years of coverage averaging about $1,400 per year or $11,200, I received one tire worth about $500 installed. This clearly makes no sense for me, based on my driving profile.

$2k for 5 yrs here. Wheel, tire, windshield chip repair and paintless dent removal. I have had to use it once already for a rear tire. Total bill was $500, I paid 0. It was nice. 3 more to go and I am even.
If one has insurance and a tire needs to be replaced outside the policy because of wear, are we forced to buy the original brand and do it through the dealership at their high markups, or can we go to a tire dealer and the new rubber is covered?
I've had you jag tires replaced at a local tire store as the dealer wasfartheraway.the insurance company pays a set price for the replacement tire and you cover he rest if the dealer won't meet the price. The set prices are in line with tire rack, so reasonable.
Generally the independents meet the price

It worked on my jag.
I replaced the original tires with another brand and the replacements were covered. I imagine they will replace whatever is on the car but not allow an upgrade at time of replacement.
