Trying to collect some data about 991 idle speeds. Could you pick an option on the poll here and provide some optional comments in the thread? My idle seems to hunt around a bit, so I'm trying to determine if this is "normal". Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to keep it simple and look at all models. Basically I just want to know if the idle is pegged at an exact RPM or does it vary.

In non-sport mode mine varies from 600 to 700 and goes up and down about once a second, but it's not entirely regular. But in sport mode it's pegged right at 800.

 

Mine seems to be around 600 to 650 in non sport mode. Not sure if it being this low is what causes the hesitation I get from start. If I have it in sport mode then I am up around 800 and do not get the hesitation any were as bad.
