My dealer rep is quite the mime when it comes to details about the allocation spot I secured for a new order. He sent me a "dealer-only" text printout of the car with the designated options and the V200 code. Other than that, I have absolutely no information about the car.

Is there anything else the dealership can do for me? I'd like to see something official, and would love to be able to track the progress of the car in/out of Germany. That said, I realize that Porsche doesn't have a fancy system like BMW that lets you track everything from start to finish.

 

Is that what porsche people call salesmen? "dealer rep"?

 

No, "brand ambassadors". Ha ha.

 

They love stressing that title... "I was appointed as an ambassador." Jesus.
