Roof rack and snowchains for 991 GTS?

Hi guys :-)

We're gonna go skiing in the Alps this winter and I'm considering taking the 991 for the journey. But I need a set of roof rack, to transport our skis and snowboards and I came across this system http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU991RTS.html

Anyone ever used these racks? And are the OK to drive with? We have approx 2300 km. each way, mostly on Autobahn and going only 110 KPH is not really my thing :-) Nor do I drive + 200 KPH since I both have my wife and daugter with me.

Not sure yet which skibox I'm going with, but probably one from Thule. Any recommendations?

Regarding snowchains (They most be used by law in France) I found a set of Thule K-Summit model K44 meant for 295/30 R20 - will there be a problem fitting Michelin Alpin PA4 295/30 R20 tires on the GTS? (Standard size 305/30 R20)
Or do you guys recommend Porsches own set of snow chains?

I can't speak of chains, BUT I own this rack. It's ROCK solid, you will have ZERO issues at Autobahn speeds.

I use the Porsche rack with the ski rack add on. I was able to find it on ebay for a lot cheaper. The rack is nice. Fairly easy to get on and off. Not too loud without the ski rack part. Considerably louder with the ski part on

I just take it off when I don't have skis on it.

No clue about chains but I don't have issues with snow tires. If it gets too deep the car floats. No clue how it would handle deep snow and a steep slope.

I have looked at adding a roof box but they are all large. Even the ones they call small. I would really like to see one that is flatter and sits closer to the car's roof. If you get one, please send a picture and let me know if you like it. thanks
