Durametric or ???

We all know about the Durametric and how many DIYers use it to clear service messages. There apparently are others, in particular the Autel and iCarSoft POR II, which are a little cheaper and are self contained - you don't have to hook it up to a laptop. Anybody used them or can give it a thumbs up or thumbs down?? Any other units out there beside Durametric? Thanks for the input.

Great question! I can't wait to see responses from people with experience across the options.

I can talk about the Durametric professional that I bought for my old 997.2 softronic ECU upload. On that car allowed me some minimal coding that allow me to turn off the seatbelt sound, make the side lights blink with the turning signal but not much more. On the 991 is even more frustrating and it won't do much more than the other two options on the tread. I wish someone could chime in on options in coding the car like BMW cars have.

One caveat about Durametric is that they do update their software fairly often. So far the 991 is very basic, perhaps in the future some coding could come...
