It will not be delivered until this week but on another car I test drove with it. Sounds fantastic inside. In mellow mode you can use blue tooth if causing. In spirited mode its nice in the car but if you are 6 cars back, it will be loud lol. I know, because I followed my friends Carrera 4s after driving it.

Thanks, and it even sounds deeper live. The phone didn't record the depth it has 100 percent.

Is there a way to add a PSE button to control this exhaust on a car without PSE or is the only way to activate the valve to be WOT?

The button can be added and wiring, or you can hook it up without a button control I believe and it works off your RPM band. I may be wrong.

Contact Josh at AWE tuning and he will tell you for sure. I am sure someone will chime in too.

Mine was $395.00 installed by Porsche. They actually did it without removing the rear bumper. Did a great job and got the tops on nice and square with the AWE logos etc. And I figured if it falls off their works warranted, mine is not! lol.

For the wiring and switch I think it can get pretty expensive. Josh I am sure will have an idea. Or post it as a main thread on her or one of the other boards. I know guys have done it.

Yeah, no doubt a cell phone microphone and a computer speaker cannot do justice to the depth and feel of roaring sound in real life.

BTW, that normally aspirated roar you have harnessed is why I want the GTS to be my next Porsche.

I love that sound. The woosh, sound on top of the snarl. Nothing like it really. I hope you get your car you want

Thanks! In the mean time I have nothing to complain about. I have a beautiful, tastefully modded 996 GT2 I bought as a one-owner car from my best friend about five years ago. The car has so much value to me personally, that I don't know if I could part with it any time soon. The downside is it's brutal. Even set at the factory ride-hight (an inch lower than the Turbo), it's so low to the ground I have to turn around at some speed bumps. The power can be scary and they call it the widow-maker (I have spun it). It's going up in value which makes me even more judicious about driving it(1st-world problems, right?). So it's become more of an investment/collector car which makes it a bit less fun.

Lately I have been dreaming of something more drivable on a day to day basis, and normally-aspirated to get that unmatched sound and higher revs. The GTS has it all! Normally aspirated, GREAT-sounding, RWD, wide-body, beautiful lines, plenty of power, awesome handling, and arguably the best bang for the buck in options of any Porsche on the market. Well done!

Your car sounds awesome. I agree on the GTS. Has many things good going for it.
