I have heard the wheel swap works but that nobody has tried the MF version. I plan to do so at some point. Suncoast said I could return the wheel for a restocking fee if the buttons don't work when I put it on my car.

Very likely an updated 991.2 steering wheel module and its piwis programming will likely be needed as well ... But should work!!

I wonder if a Manual with no MF would be a straight swap?

The GT3 RS wheel has already been swapped into PDK 991.1's, as long as you get the wheel + airbag it is plug and play. Would be the same for manual cars without MF.

The MF swap remains to be seen though...

moderator, please delete my other post on this topic.

I know this has been asked many times before and I've read through the other threads, but based on the email I got from Suncoast, I thought I'd revive this and see if anyone has actually taken the chance and fitted the Carrera and Boxster 2017+ wheels on a 2013 Carrera? Cut and paste of the email I received below.

*******************

Carrera & Boxster - 2017+

A hot new steering wheel for 2017 models. Reduced size of 360 mm and Alcantara for better
grip. And a low price for a steering wheel of this quality.

NOTE: We're commonly asked if this wheel will fit on
2013-2016 models. Some customers have done it, but
we can't verify this upgrade will fit all models. This
upgrade is not recommended by Porsche, and the
necessary parts are not returnable.

I guess the lack of response means it's a firm 'no'. Seems odd that with all the posts here, and on other related sites, that someone wouldn't have figured out a solution. While there's some support for the MF with switches approach, most would seem to prefer a paddle and MF option.

Suncoast hint at it, but (I'm assuming for legal reasons) provide no detail.

Does that upgrade preserve the sport plus light?
