Driver's Car results

The 911S took 3rd place behind a McLaren and believe it or not a Mustang- and it wasn't because of the engine. After reading the article, I understand the McLaren (perhaps), but the Mustang did not receive rave reviews for its steering, leaving me wondering what they were thinking.

It was pretty clear. They were tired of awarding it to Porsche. Sort of like concourse judging where they don't award !st to the same car year over year.

PS the Mustang is a hell of a car at that or any price.

I definitely would understand best-value on the Mustang, the criteria was best driver's car and they criticized the steering on both the Mustang and the McLaren.

combatninja is infamous around these parts
There were a lot of cars left out which confused me. I watched the whole feature video and the presenters shared that both Ferrari and Lamborghini declined to participate. But where was the Corvette? If you are going to bring a Camaro, shouldn't you also include the silghtly more driver-oriented car from Chevrolet? I bet the new Grand Sport with a manual transmission would have placed well.

Just like F and L declined the invitation Chevrolet decided that they needed to pump up the sales on the Camaro and that's why they sent one instead of the vette.

They pretty much run them all on the same couple of days. A number of guys drive the cars and the guy with the best lap gets his time posted. The reason the guy is excited at the end is because he was the guy with the best time in the Grand Sport. If you click on the C&D channel on YT you can see the best runs of the other cars.
