seat issue question

Hello Guys,

Just wondering how many of you had this problem, on my previews 991
the Seat mechanism is supported to have some stop tabs that limit how far it tilts forward. They either break easily or are defective, when this happens you'll keep cracking the silver trim pieces of your seat because the seats folds past the normal stop point..

I had a very hard time with dealer and PCNA to the get that part replaced.. on my current 991 I'm experiencing the same issue on my passenger seat, I'm curious if anyone else is having or had the same issue.

thanks

I had the same issue on my 2012.5 991 on both seats. I had it fixed at the dealer as part of warranty. they had to disassemble the entire seats to get to those parts.

How was your experience? For me it was terrible, on my first 991, I had problems with my two local dealers having them to replace the parts under warranty, first one told me it was my fault and second one had the area Rep from Porsche involved and Manit was a hard time.

now I'm thinking twice if taking my car to the dealer or just pay for the back frame and DIY the work

at first they did not want to warranty it, they claimed that I broke it! yeah both seats??

but the dealer helped me out and got porsche to fix it under warranty.

glad they did, last time my dealer shop foreman was against helping me, like if they get a bonus or commission for rejecting claims
