991.1 GTS-holding its value

I took a peek at what 2015's are going for on the pre-owned locator site (see below, hope it works). About 16 months ago, these were going for the same prices, pre-owned. Coupes still at $110-120k, even some with higher than 15000 miles.
I don't think these cars have depreciated much at all.

It's difficult to say, asking price doesn't mean anything. Need to know if there are buyers out there. Kinda like the market, smart money are sitting on their cash right now to see what's going to happen.

But damn those new 991.2 GTS looks amazing!

They do look good. But they're also more expensive then the previous iteration...a notch up in performance, but also 'giving it up' in terms of reduced displacement.

Try getting those prices from a dealer. Now that Porsche came out with the new 991.2 GTS, don't think the 991.1 GTS will hold too much value. No matter what you think or see asking prices, when it comes time to sell...big depreciation. These cars are not collectible. Now if you're talking 918, Carrera GT or even GT4, maybe.

From NADA, trade-in values are about $95k currently for low mileage examples. Looks-wise, there isn't too much difference between 991.2 and 991.1 GTS, except for the rear effects.
Not suggesting they're in the same echelon as a GT3 or Carrera GT, BUT...I would have expected asking prices to go down by now.

^^^ This is pretty much right on. I was offered $95k toward trade for my 2015 GTS coupe with ~8k miles.

I decided to keep it

Yep, which means: they will Certify it (probably put new tires on it, wash it, and change the oil) and ask about $115k and hope to get about $108k and end up making $10k on the deal.
