new car discounts?...and a couple questions
new car discounts?...and a couple questions
thinking about adding a 991.2 targa gts
the one i built had an msrp of $160k..
what kind of discounts are people getting?
i got around 8% off last jan on my 2016 cayenne gts - id love to order a car with 8% discount!
any feedback?
and yes, i thought about just doing a turbo - but i like the idea of the targa (I've had 2 911 S cabs and a boxster s)...a turbo S convert will be over $200k..
never ordered a new porsche -ive bought new off the show room floor, but never ordered one..what kind of deposit do they require? and what happens if i change my mind? do i lose my deposit or worse?
Thanks and cant wait to get back into a 911

In this time after the recent release of the new GTS, my experience has been that there is not much of a discount offered beyond a "courtesy" discount. Dealers are having a challenging time getting build allocations for the car so far, so they are holding out on discounts. I think Porsche is being conservative on production slots, which is creating some scarcity. I'm sure this will ease in time but for now I wouldn't expect any meaningful discount on a new GTS.

I bought new from a dealer and got 8% discount on my 911 GTS (didn't order it).
Now, I had ordered a Panamera GTS a couple years before that and had an MSRP of $133k and I would have gotten 4% off. I backed out of that in favor of a Turbo.
When I ordered I think I put $1000 down and actually got it back later.
Much of it depends on the model, and timing. If a guy is looking to move cars to get a bonus, he'll make a better deal.
Best advice if you're gonna order: make sure it's what you want and follow through.
