Porsche gets it right with the 2017 C2 991.2
This will not be a technical post - but purely and "Porsche experience" post. I do have some experience with owning about 10-12 different Porsches in the last 25 years. I currently still have a 2007 TT 997.1 which is lightly modded (in the pic above).
I was intrigued by the press the new 991.2 engine was getting, so I decided to take one for a spin ... and wound up with it at home
Just some things to consider as far as enjoyment.
The torque factor is huge. I didn't think a C2 could feel like my TT, but it does.
Sport Exhaust is perfect for me. The neighbors aren't pissed off (they don't like my TT) and it sounds very much like what I remember from an older 911.
Every creature comfort possible ...
Best convertible top i have had to date in all respects including wind noise (3 previous P-cabs)
It's been a while since I have had a RWD, and that little swing out on a turn just flips my switch --- LOVE IT.
Oh, and the costco kid seat fits perfectly !!!
