Road noise

I know that others have complained about the road noise of the 991 Porsche. I realize that the manufacturer was trying to save weight. I will never use my Porsche as a race car so if it had a few extra pounds that would be fine by me. Has anyone successfully eliminated or drastically reduced the road noise? I've thought about putting some sound deadening material behind the interior panels. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't find it noisy at all, weird. My Cayman was way louder.

Change your tires from Pirelli to Michelin. Put sound deadening material on the floorboard, in the doors and the wheel wells.

Or even get continentals... extremecontact DW are extremely quiet tires.

Change your tires from Pirelli to Michelin Super Sport. Tire rack rates them 8.7 vs 7.3 for PZero. I can attest for the reduced noise.

If you want quieter than that, 991.2 is your option.

PS the Continentals also get an excellent rating for noise.
