2014 4s pricing insight
14k miles, M/T, Sapphire blue, certified, all the performance options and the sports design package, 18 way seats (which I never would have paid for). Original sticker with car is $136k...asking $96k.
Appreciate any insight on pricing. I have bought and sold a lot of cars, but new to dealing with 911's and there is just not a lot of supply so hard to get a read on what a good deal is. |
Best way to go about this is to get as much data as you can. Rennlist has a Hot for Sale thread that has multiple examples of cars that are out on the market now, with opinions re: asking price, etc.
The most challenging thing is accounting for all the different options. When you say "all the performance options," that could mean a huge spread of pricing (e.g., PCCB, PSE, adaptive cruise, etc etc). When I was searching for my 991.1 TT, I used the Porsche used car locator to compare similar models optioned how I wanted from different dealerships in the same model year. You will find that some dealers will price similar cars much differently than other dealers. I bought my TT for $10K less than another dealer with another slightly less optioned car in the same region. Cross check that with a search on Cars.com and Autotrader and you should be able to figure out if that price is decent or not. Sorry I can't be of more help. The best people that would know ... are people who are hunting for the same car..! |
+1 Scoper
I did a ton of research. I figured out "tiers" for models and years, which resulted in a "range" I was willing to pay. There isnt a shortcut if you can take as these cars have so many options. Try to drive as many as you can as well. OTOH: if the car is local, and checks out, then pull the trigger and enjoy it. These cars are not investments. |
RL HFS thread as was suggested above. dealer or PP? CPO? # of owners? build sheet? list goes on and on...
|
I think thats high. I looked and compared the market for a while and bought a c4s cab in April. 2014 is just old enough you should be able to get 40% off the build sheet/sticker price as a guideline.
The 991 is definitely holding value lately so I dont think its worth trying to hold out for prices to drop but unless theres something really special about the car (GTS cars seem to be selling against all pricing logic and going back up) its still a used car and should be priced that way. the Rennlist thread mentioned before is a good resource |
That a little high. I just bought a CPO 2014 991 C4S with all the bells and whistle except for cooled seats and rear camera and I paid $86k w/16k miles. GT Silver/Carrera Red Ext Leather.

Hey, my math actually worked "2014 is just old enough you should be able to get 40% off the build sheet/sticker price as a guideline. "
$86k for a $148k build = 42% off |
Yes...but...Manheim is an Auction
The buyer/dealer will mark it up |

4s
I bought my '14 4S used in Sept '14. It had about 3k miles. The sticker was $128k and I paid $99k.
I think the asking price is way too high for this car. GL. |
