Wrong rear brake pads?

Wrong rear brake pads?
I changed my brakes last week and just noticed this. You can see the perfect rust ring where the pad never touches the rotor. Both rear brakes have the gap at the exact same distance and the caliper bolts are still seated flush with the wheel assembly. The fronts don't have the same problem.
I wonder if the Carrera rear brakes are smaller than the Carrera S, because they other wise fit perfectly?

Suncoast Porsche and Pelican parts both show the rear pads being different, are you looking at just the rotors or pads as well?

Pads
Yes, this is an easy DIY project if you are experienced and are handy; if you have the proper tools and can follow instructions you shouldn't have any problems. Just make sure you purchase the correct parts.
BTW: it wouldn't hurt to buy the brake sensors in case you damage the originals. Pelican sells sensors at a fraction of the OEM sensor cost. Also a number of owners will also recommend the caliper bolts are replaced (Manufacturer Recommendation). I don't track my car nor plan on doing so and used the same bolts. Just make sure you follow the torque specifications.

Just the pads. I bought the S pads from Suncoast. Maybe I was sent boxster pads, but they're definitely wrong. My fault for not looking more carefully but everything installed so smoothly.

I did just the pads and it's easy. Took 2-3 hours in my case. Hardest part was figuring out how to get the sensor out of the old pads.

I did my pads and rotors last week. I agree, not too difficult but the sensors were a pain. Also don't like the fact that the entire caliper has to be removed. I had a 987 S several years ago and it was a lot easier to work on.

Just pads this time around. Its a pretty easy job if you have some experience wrenching. Bought them initially from suncoast.
