Judder in the steering wheel after new brakes/rotors

I have has new brakes and rotors installed and after about 1500 miles I feel a vibration in the steering wheel when I am feathering the brakes. Very strange?
Is this because I have not used the brakes hard and they need to be bedded in? The feeling is more noticeable under light braking than harder braking...

Who did the work? If it was you, recheck everything. If it was a dealership or indy mechanic, take the car back and have them recheck everything. Before that I would do a simple bedding procedure, usually solves 75% of braking weirdness. All I would do is check lug bolt tightness to ensure the wheels aren't going to come off and then bed them in. If you still have issues, take the car back to whoever did the service.

You need to bed the brakes properly. It sounds like there has been pad material transfered to part of the rotor but not the whole rotor, so it's grabbing when you move the pads close.

I think that they did not clean the surface of the hub before bolting those brand new rotors. if there is any debris on the hub the rotor surface will not rest in the same plane as the hub
