Winter tire set for GTS 4
Winter tire set for GTS 4
I’d like to hear from you guys on what the recommendation would be for a GTS 4 winter wheel set. 2019 if that matters. I live in the Denver area and this will be my daily driver unless there is truly a large snowfall then I’d drive my wife’s SUV.
What is is the most cost effective way to get a winter wheel setup if I want Porsche wheels for this set?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Suncoast Porsche sells factory winter wheel setups @ 15-20% off. You might get a local dealer to price match, save the shipping but incur the sales tax.
Nice thing about the factory sets is that they are mounted at - you guessed it - the factory. They are prefectly balanced and already have compatible tire pressure sensors installed. Also if you ever go to resell the set, the oem wheels should have a broader audience (easier to sell) than any non-oem options.
If you go with the downsized wheels (which are less expensive and marginally better in the snow) you'll likely get Pirellis. With the 20s (which you'd probably want on a GTS) they usually mount michelin snow tires - which I have on my 991.2. Apples to apples they are better than the Pirellis in every way.
Anyway. Hope that helps. As an unsolicited comment - you might consider a silver wheelset as opposed to black/satin since the silvers clean up better and take more a beating (salt, sand and winter grime). I run 20 inch Carrera S black satin wheels in the winter and they are hurting.
Good luck. Happy holidays.

Thank you for the suggestion. I found these after reading your recommendation. They are 20”. Slightly different specs than the GTS. Should be ok? Thanks
