991 Rear camera retro fitting
As above cannot fine anyone that has done this so having a go on mine.
Used camera on the way from a crashed car, cheap enough, new harness ordered, it plugs into the parking sensor harness, my cars module supports it according to Porsche.
New mounts ordered from Porsche, so until the bumpers comes off not sure the wire the other side of the plug is there.
Pictures to follow.

I have done in a 991.1. Search should find info. I did not have a simply plug that I plugged a camera into. Porsche does not usually build the cars that way. If it was not ordered with the car, then the wires probably are not there. I ran wires from the camera to the PCM. Not too hard.

Done a few searches and found very little on the factory camera.
Camera has just arrived, it has video out and 5 wires so now need a wiring diagram for the car, any idea?

Made some progress on this and have found a retro fit harness, just ordered it from Poland.
Just about to pick up the new factory camera mount and replacement PDC harness so I can crack on and get it mounted, the wires go in behind the right hand light so it looks like some trim out the rear to get at it.
This is the harness link. .https://www.carsystems.eu/porsche-911-carrera-highline-rear-view-camera-wiring-harness,id2350.html

Just picked up the parts from Porsche, looks like the harness plug on the lead coming might need changing, I have found the Porsche lead now so might need more money on that.
Just had the car on Pwis11 an attempt to code the car and no chance, you can see rear camera and rear parking sensor and camera, you can select and start coding but it faults and say coding could not be done?
Anyone on here no how to code?

Lead has arrived all good, 100 % wires the the quadloc and have the pin outs, looks like it pulls power and ground from there as well so might change that apart to the fuse box.

Moving on with this today, it seems the pcm is a similar unit used in Vw and Audi the mib2.
The harness from Poland is very long for the 911 and is designed to fit directly to the camera.
I wanted it to look as factory as possible and with the replacement parking sensor harness it take the wires to the rear right side with a mount and sockets so the bumper is easy to remove for service etc.
I found to correct plug for the other half of the socket, its a VW Audi part and just changed the socket with the one from the harness.
The wire passes with the rear light and goes through the factory grommet, inside the car I followed the same way as the guys above in there blog.
Stripping out the rear is a lot of work, rear seats and quarter panel etc but you can then run the wire next the the factory harness right to the front fuse box right side foot well.
I have loads of pictures but need to get them to jpeg.
