Whats a good multi-media head unit upgrade for a 2012 Carrera. I would like Apple-Car play like the 991.2 cars have.

Do I get a nice Alpine or Pioneer system or can I even purchase the newer Porsche unit from the 991.2 and put it in a 991?

I added a CarPlay adapter to the factory head unit but audio quality sucks. Looking for a better solution such as an aftermarket head unit. Hoping everything integrates perfectly.

 

Thanks I was wondering about that. Some of the aftermarket Alpine, Kenwood and Pioneer head units do look good. I wonder if a head unit from a 991.2 will fit in and work with the 991?
