The title says it all. I'm looking at a 2018 991 with PCM/Bose and wondering if it has, or is update-able to include Android Auto?

 

Android Auto is natively coded into the 991.2 (2017+) PCM system, but not activated. On Rennlist, there is a guy simaservis1108 that will remotely update the coding to activate it for a fee ($200). You'll need a windows laptop that you are comfortable with him remote desktoping into and a cable that connects the laptop to the USB port in the code. Many members have had him do it (myself included) and it works flawlessly. From there, I got a Motorla MA-1 wireless adapter and now have wireless AA working great on my 2017. There are threads on the topic in the 991 section of rennlist. If you're coding savy, I think there is a thread that walks through the process.
