The owner only tuned it for 450hp for a road racing.

There is no signal line hooked up to the lower waste gates where the small dump pipes stick out of the rear of the car.

The wastegates have 2 ports on them, only the lower port (which you cannot see in the pictures) need to be hooked up for the wastegate to open correctly. The upper port can be vented to atmosphere.

The last time I checked in on his project I believe he was still on the stock engine internals (like me). So the stock rod bolts won't take much more power then that anyway, even if he runs race gas to keep knock at bay with the high compression.

I love it except for the location of the air filters.

It seems stupid to pour all that money and time without addressing the internals, and at the end fot what? for a lot of bling and no go? doesn't make sense, I agree with Acropora, the filter positionig is awful., the overall design of the concept is top bling.

I can't speak for Princeton, but my custom turbo setup on a stock internal NA motor hasn't been a waste of time. The numbers in my signature were achieved at a measly 6 psi, and that power in a 2900 lb RWD car it is still a pretty fun ride. Of course my setup is a bit simpler then his so I would imagine he has quite a bit of time into his build. I do plan on building my internals when I have time to do so, but the car is still a blast as it sits, so I have put it off longer then I planned. Maybe he has similar plans for when time permits.

BTW, can you give us more info or pictures of your setup? Your numbers are very impressive.

Search the thread under 996tt vs. 993 hp comp, you will find some info there, best.

going to the next level isnt cheap , 450 hp is huge in these cars coming from the 286-7 and its fully streetable, I have a protomotive sytem stage 1 and am thrilled for what it is. no its not my 750 hp mustang lx. that I had back in the day. but its civilized..

If I remember correctly reading about the car over on Rennlist, he was building this car when he was in school so he probably didnt have the money at the time to address the internal engine components. Then again he might have thought that 450hp was enough.
