Porsche dealer tells me that the console needs to be pulled if I *really* want to replace the OBC bulb. (Can't see the computer read-out at night and have been putting this off.)

Worried I'm going to end up with nicked leather or a squeeky dash. Anybody know of an easier way to get to the bulb behind the OBC besides yanking half of the dash out?
