RUF Conversion 993 TT or C4s? Please advise

Hi,

I was thinking about buying a high mileage 993 Turbo or a C4s to do a RUF conversion. Is there any advantage to which car is better for the conversion? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Kenny

I think starting with a turbo is better if for no other reason than it already has more of the hardware that a Turbo R car will need..........intercoolers, upgraded suspension, brakes, etc. It's probably a tradeoff between buying a higher priced turbo and a lower conversion cost or a lower priced C4S and higher conversion cost.

I have a good friend that bought a C4S that had been converted and it's a monster, so it can be done well.

I also have a great relationship with Ruf in Dallas, where I assume the conversion will be done. I would be glad to get you in touch with someone there to discuss. They certainly know more about this subject than me! Good luck

I would recommend a turbo, but again, I am no expert either. FWIW - I also think the folks at Ruf Auto Centre in TX are the experts to ask.
