I recently picked up an Arena Red 993 TT and am wondering what aftermarket or OEM seats guys have upgraded to? I have looked at a few different options from Recaro and Sparco, as well as 996 GT3 seats and 997 GT2 seats, but I am still unsure. Generally, I would like a seat that reclines, has lower side bolsters and is somewhat comfortable.

Most people will upgrade to Recaro seats. Off the top of my head, if you want something that reclines.. your options would the the Recaro Sport, Recaro Speed, Recaro SRD (discontinued), or Recaro Sportster CS. Honestly though if you want a seat that reclines, I would stay with your factory 993 seats.

 

If you are interested, I have a set of Recaro pole position fabric seats. They are in excellent condition. They have the brackets and sliders. THey do not recline, but once you are in them, they are very confortable. Pole position seats are probably the best lookig seat for the 993.

I went with the Recaro Sport Topline seats from Speedware Motorsports in Washington State, then had them custom cover them in cashmere leather to match the interior. The Toplines handle the six-point harness for the track, are heated with power bolsters and power reclining:
