Advise needed on 993TT purchase
While I'm sure this topic has been addressed before, wanted some insight from fellow 6Speed Members. I currently have a 2007 997S that I built and purchased new. Love the car and plan on keeping but would like another P Car. I've been looking at:
993 TT
993 S
89 Turbo coupe
Of the above mentioned, is the 993 TT the way to go? This car would be somewhat of a collector that I would drive no more than 2000 miles per year. Looking for a car that will hold its value, is fun to drive, nice to look at and will not be a maintenance nightmare.
Finally, I will only purchase a car in Excellent Condition with full books and records. Have been watching Ebay, Sloan Cars and Victory. There is a beautiful 97 former PCNA NY show car I've been watching w/ 19K miles offered by Foreman but at $87K one of the more expensive and probably more than I want to spend. Appreciate advice on what to buy (and not to buy), from who and what you are seeing price wise.

Depends on what you want in the extra car. I have had all 3 and currently have the tt.
930: turbo lag then WHAM!!!!HOLD ON!!!!!need to change the shorts. Mine was built with 350hp/390 ft lb at the rear wheels
993: more comfortable than the 930. Nice blend of old and new. Mine was a daily driver for 15 months until I purchased the tt about a month ago
993tt: faster than the 930 but doesn't necessarily feel like it because the twin turbos are so much smoother so it is easier to control and doesn't scare you. SO far seems to have the daily drive ability of the NA 993 model, just a bit harsher suspension.
All 3 will probably hold their value well

993tt > 993S > 930 IMHO
However, let the intersection of budget and personal preference dictate which direction you ultimately go in. Buy the best example you can afford and go with a full PPI.
The 993tt is a beast with a strong collectible future; however, it costs more to maintain, insure and fix. The twin turbos and AWD are awesome, but they do increase annual costs a bit.
